MCGT is excited to announce that online registration is live for the 2016 Annual Conference!

Keynote Lisa Van Gemert

Our keynote speaker this year is Lisa Van Gemert (aka The Gifted Guru). A former teacher, school administrator, and Youth & Education Ambassador for Mensa, she helps provide teachers and parents with tools they need to support the personal and academic needs of gifted learners. Her keynote will focus on “The Five-Headed Dragon”: Stereotype Threat, Imposter Syndrome, Bullying the Bright, Underachievement, and Perfectionism. Breakout topics with Van Gemert include boundaries, motivation, and an open Q&A.

Children’s programs

As in previous years, we have children’s classes for kids K-7, with some returning favorites and new opportunities. We’ll also have a book swap for kids! Programs fill quickly – register soon.

Financial assistance

Families with gifted and talented children should not be restricted in their participation in MCGT activities because of limited funds. The MCGT Board will accept requests for financial assistance to enable members to attend MCGT events, including the annual conference.

Spread the word!

Feel free to make copies of the conference flyer on the website and share them at your school, at extracurricular activities, or in your parent/homeschool groups.
