Get Ready
Get Ready is a federally-funded college and career readiness program administered through the Minnesota Office of Higher Education. The program helps students from low-income backgrounds, indigenous communities and communities of color realize their aspirations through education and career advancement.
Ms. Thao is the Get Ready Postsecondary Pathways Coordinator at RMS. This is Ms. Thao’s second year with RMS, and she looks forward to supporting and expanding RMS’ college and career readiness program.
This school year, Get Ready is working with all students on the Get Ready Postsecondary Pathways Curriculum. The curriculum is designed to help students identify their potential college and career pathways. The curriculum will be taught on the first two Wednesdays of every month during the Advisory period. Get Ready is also providing monthly independent activities for students to engage in. Students can access the activities by clicking on the Get Ready Star in their Advisory Schoology course virtual advisory classroom. Get Ready also presents special events connected to our communities, like college tours, career expos, guest speakers, and parent/guardian workshops.
