Expose your student to various careers this summer

Robbinsdale Area Schools is partnering with Hennepin Technical College (HTC) to offer the College 4 Kids Summer Program. It's a free program that provides middle school students exposure to various career pathways through hands-on courses and fun activities.

Virtual program details: 10 to 11:30 a.m., June 21 through June 24. All incoming grade 6-8 Robbinsdale Area School students are eligible. The deadline to sign up is Friday, May 20. Register at: https://bit.ly/3vrHW7S.

Class options include:
Culinary

• Students will learn about Culinary career opportunities in a commercial kitchen while making cinnamon rolls.

Motion Control

• Middle schoolers will learn how robots move and build a working robotic arm.

Nursing

• Students will be exposed to daily job tasks and learn about exciting career opportunities in health care.

Graphics/Computer Programming

• Learn how things work behind the screen with a focus on computer graphics programming.

Students must have access to a device for the virtual classes.
