Get Ready Wednesdays in RMS Advisory Class and Upcoming Online Parent/Guardian Workshop

Get Ready is a federally-funded college and career readiness program administered through the Minnesota Office of Higher education. The program helps students from low-income backgrounds indigenous communities, and communities of color realize their aspirations through education and career advancement.

Ms. Thao is the Get Ready Post-secondary Pathways Coordinator at RMS. This is Ms. Thao’s second year with RMS, and she looks forward to supporting and expanding RMS’ college and career readiness. This is an example activity for students October Get Ready Activity: Why College.

Get Ready will be presenting an online parent/guardian workshop:

Foundation for Middle & High School Success on Thursday, November 19 2020, from 6:30-8:00 PM providing families with tools for school year success. 

Please join us for a night of learning:

  • Identify parenting styles and parenting practices that help to provide a supportive environment.

  • Discussing factors that help students succeed in school.

  • Reflect on hopes and dreams for their students.

  • The importance of education by aligning values with choices and actions.
